World's No. 1 Brand

Haier is the leading brand of white goods globally and the most valuable brand in China. With its 29 manufacturing plants, 8 comprehensive R&D centres, 19 overseas trading companies across the world and more than 60,000 global employees, Haier has evolved into a giant multinational corporation. In 2008, Haier realised global revenue of RMB 119 billion.

Guided by the famous strategy determined by CEO Zhang Ruimin, Haier has adopted several strategies during different stages:

According to the latest data released by Euromonitor, with a market share up to 5.1%, Haier ranks first among the brands of white goods all over the world (in terms of market share) and it was the first time a Chinese company became the number one brand in the white goods industry.

Our Innovation

In innovation practice, Haier's exploration and implementation of Overall Every Control and clear management mode characterized by: market chain management and individual-order combination development pattern has attracted high attention from international management field.

Haier leads the world in intelligent home appliances integration, network household appliances, digitisation, large scale integrated circuit and new materials. Innovation-driven

Haier has been committed to providing effective solutions to global consumers and achieving a win-win outcome.

Up to the end of October, 2010, Haier had applied for 10,214 patents in total, among which there were 3,057 inventions, ranking 1st among Chinese home appliance enterprises. In 2010, Haier applied for 476 patents, 258 of which were invention patents, which means 2 patents were applied for each business day on average.

Haier is the household appliance company that has been involved in the largest number of international, national and industrial standards in China. Haier has put forward and handed in 51 international standard proposals, among which 27 technical proposals including “No Powder Washing Technology” and "Safe Care Technology" have been promulgated. In 2010, Haier has put forward and handed in 18 proposals, 6 of which have been promulgated to be international standards. In addition, Haier has won 12 China Standards Innovation & Contribution Awards, becoming the household appliance company with most awards.

Haier is the only enterprise from developing country that has become one member of the top management of International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). In June 2009, Haier was selected by IEC as the first "practice base for standard innovation" in the world.

Entering into the 8th year of implementing its global brand building strategy, Haier, in 2011, will continue to promote its;
